= (- 5 + i)/2i = [(- 5 + i) * 2i] / [2i * 2i] = (- 10i + 2i²) / 4i² → where: i² = - 1 = (- 10i - 2) / - 4 = (10i + 2)/4 = (5i + 1)/2 = (1 + 5i)/2

You can always write any complex number in the form A + Bi Multiply the top and bottom by the complex conjugate of the bottom. In this case. the conjugate is -2i
