The're manipulative, verbally and emotionally abusive, derisory, among other things, and are never accountable. I suffer from PTSD, anxiety, and depression in large part because of them, so mostly yes...

I used to, but not anymore. They suffered from untreated mental issues and I happened to be there.

No. My parents were sober, educated and supportive (kind of). They were strict, @$$holes sometimes and often seemingly unfair, but they're my parents and I know that they love me despite my flaws. It gets easier as you become an adult.
