Can drinking soft drinks cause muscle cramps to happen by dehydrating me?

For example, I drink soft drinks before bed that then causes me to expel urine which in turn dehydrated the body leading to cramps.

Probably not. There's more water in the drinks than you piss out, so it's a net positive amount of water.
