Why is it okay to say "white males use their power to oppress women" but not okay to say "Muslim males use their power to oppress women"?

To say "Muslim males use their power to oppress women" would mean that you are stereotyping all Muslim men so why is it okay to stereotype all white men?

Actually, it is more correct to say "white christian males," because not all white males do this. Or perhaps "religious nutjob males" which would cover all religions rather nicely because well they're nutjobs.
