    p(roll 1, then 2) = p(roll 1) * p(roll 2) = 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/36

    P(rooling 1, rollng 2) = (1/6)(1/6) = 1/36

    1 in 36.

1/6 chance of rolling any number (such as 1). 1/6 chance of rolling any number the 2nd time (such as 2). But the chance of rolling a 1, then rolling a 2, is 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/36 chance. So, probability is 1/36.
