Is falling in love the best way to cure fear of death?

My mom told me that she loves my dad so much she'd be willing to die for him, and he said the same for her. I'm so scared of death, if I fall in love will I conquer my fear or will I grow out of it? I'm 17

Short answer: yes. Well said, and wise. Kudos to her. I would not connect it to being willing to die for someone, that's also true perhaps, but love itself calms fear like a calming ocean. It's amazingly powerful and comforting to be in love.
