7tan^2y(cos^2y - 1) = 7tan^2y cot^2y = 7(1) = 7

7 tan^2(y)(csc^2(y) - 1) = 7 tan^2(y)cot^2(y) = 7. Done. Easiest provable by knowing the identity csc^2(y) - cot^2(y) = 1. Note that this is not a pure identity because both cos(y) and sin(y) must be nonzero on the left.

Assuming you mean 7tan^2(y)*[csc^2(y)-1] = 7 7tan^2(y) * cot^2(y) = 7

rules tan(t)= sin(y)/cos(y) cosec(y)=1/sin(y) and sin²(y)+cos²(y)=1
