Do kids still need summer break?

We’re not a country of farmers anymore. Children don’t need to be home to help the family farm. So why do we still give kids 2+ months off from school?

Everyone needs a break, but it certainly doesn't HAVE to be in the summer.

Because kids get stressed out. If they went to school year round, they'd get super burnt out and you wouldn't see the gains you think you'd see. Plus the teachers need the break.
