Have been rumors as both were gay There is a biography of Dean that claims they were but it was written by a very unreliable writer who is known for making stuff up in his biographies of famous people. Were Brando and Dean gay lovers?

Marlon Brando was probably bisexual rather than gay. It's well known that James Dean was gay and into sadomasochistic practices such as having cigarettes stubbed out on his body.
