Can I still have coffee and other stuff with caffeine in it even though I have heart palpitations?

I do not have palpitations, but I do have heart problems and every time I see my Cardiologist he asks if I am staying off of coffee, caffienated beverages, and tobacco.

I have the starts to kidney disease, and I can't give up my 3 cups every morning at all. I do have enough tea to try and boil 3 bags every morning instead, but I'll have to wait until I have no more coffee.

No my Doctor said in the UK. When I went into decaf they stopped. Caffeine is known to cause a fast heart beat which is why people drink it to kick start"
