Does light behave as a wave or particle when observed?

I'm too lazy to look at the full details of the double-slit experiment. So, in that experiment, did light behave as a particle or a wave when the scientists observed its path?

It behaves as whichever your means of observation would expect.

It always behaves as a particle when it is observed.

It is been said that it behaves like a wave and particle at the same time. Time is instantaneous and doesn't exist at that speed, so hey ho, what do you know.
