    sin²a - cos²a = [ sin a - cos a ] [ sin a + cos a ]

    sin^2(a) - cos^2(a) is the LCM Multiply the first terms by sin(a) + cos(a)

    (sina-cosa) = (sina-cosa) sin^2(a) - cos^2(a) = (sina-cosa)*(sina+cosa) LCM = (sina-cosa)*(sina+cosa) = sin^2(a) - cos^2(a)
