Triangular prism?
5 answers
How do you find the surface area of a triangular prism that is not an isosceles. For example a is 9, b is 12 and c is 15. The height is 6

Area = (9 x 6) + (12 x 6) + (15 x 6)

Add up all the surfaces. Make sure you know whether to add the ends or not.

(perimeter × height) + {2×triangle area}

For this right triangular prism (where c is the hypotenuse), the surface area is ab + h(a+b+c). Here this is 9×12 + 6×(9+12+15) = 108 + 6×36 = 108 + 216 = 324 square units.

A 9,12,15 triangle is a right triangle SA of the 2 triangles = 9*12 = 108 in^2 SA of sides = 6*36 = 216 in^2 Total = 324 in^2
