I accidentally stepped on an Ambien, and it didn't even crack or distort it's shape. I haven't stepped on any other sleeping pills for comparison, but I think if Ambien were any stronger, it would dissolve in your stomach too slowly to be effective.

50 mg is the highest you will get over the counter. Ambien is probably the strongest prescription while other drugs not prescribed for sleep is even stronger.
