Full proof way to get rid of fruit flies?

I need help on getting rid of fruit flies. I've tried using apple cider vinegar in an open water bottle but 3 days later it's a no go. Thanks in advance.

Mesh over windows. Keep doors closed. Use electronic pest repellent. Keep area clean. Use agents like Dettol or antiseptics to clean places were wastes accumulate.
