Oh, but it has! Over the billions of years that Earth has existed, it has hit (or, as most people would say) been hit by many meteorites, some very big. The result of a hit by a huge meteorite about 65 million years ago was the demise of the dinosaurs.

It HAS collided with things. A lot. Most are tiny bits of dust but a meteorite hitting the ground is not unusual. And where are the hurdles?

Our planet rountily scoops up tons of debris 24/7/365. http://abyss.uoregon.edu/~js/ast121/lect... http://earthsky.org/space/heres-how-ofte... Plus all the ones that haven't been eroded away, or buried.. http://www.passc.net/EarthImpactDatabase...

It has. It hits small dust particles all the time. Occasionally it hits a larger rock. That is a meteor. Very rarely, it hits a big asteroid. Just ask the dinosaurs.

Nothing has come in it's path thus far, other things follow paths too

There are about 200 known impact craters on Earth. Small meteors add about 100 tons of matter daily. Last large object was the one that wiped the dinosaurs

Because there's way, way, way more space than matter out there.

Earth has collided with other objects in the past. Here is a link with evidence of past collisions. https://www.bing.com/search?pc=EUPP_COSP...
