I would say true. But not because of lack of infantry. Main Battle Tanks are Obsolete due to the Wart Hog A10 and the Apache Attack Helicopter.

I GUARANTEE you can find people that CLAIM to be military experts that take EVERY possible position on EVERY possible issue. That doesn't mean even 10% of them would recognize a tank.

As tanks become more important, anti-tank weapons have also. It's a leap-frog arms race. And that also depends on where this possible conflict could take place, as some terrain is suitable for tanks, like Europe, and some is not, like the jungle.
