Yes, but they're often edited to increase dynamic range and bring out details. This is not the same as faking them.

Depends. Anything that is labeled an "artist rendition" is an educated artist's best guess at what something looks likes.

Most images from space are real, they may have been processed or enhanced to better show details. But they are real.
