I have a math assignment due and its says do problems in pattern 3,7,9.. What does that mean?

Your teacher is a moron. "3,7,9" does not make a PATTERN. Have patience, though. Better ask the teacher what he or she meant.

Ask your teacher. It could mean do odd numbers but break them into parts of 5, then do only the 2nd, 4th, and 5th out of the group. For questions 1 3 5 7 9, do 3, 7, 9. For questions 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, do 13, 17, 19.
