Does the moon orbit the earth on the same galactic plane as the planets orbit the sun?

The word "galactic" is redundant here. No. The planets orbit in somewhat different planes but are close together in that respect. The Moon orbits us at an angle of around thirteen degrees, which is close but not in the same plane as any planet.

Planets and moons in our system orbit close to the plane of the ecliptic, (essentially the Sun's equatorial plane) NOT the galactic plane.
