How to determine how many mph someone is traveling?

Lets say someone traveled 600 miles in 9 hours, how many mph were they traveling?

      Anonymous Try to remember Speed = Distance/Time Using cross multiplication you can also make Time = Distance/Speed and Speed x Time = Distance 600 miles in 9 hours: 600/9 = 66.67 mph

      Anonymous just look at the units. MPH = miles per hour = miles divide by hours. You should be able to do the rest.

      Anonymous Divide the number of miles by the number of hours So for this 600miles/9hours = 66 2/3 mph
