Speaker wire would not be insulated sufficiently to guarantee safety at 110 volts (USA etc), and certainly not at 230 volts (Europe etc).

Sure for 18 g cables...provided they lay in conduits ; number of cables in parallel depends upon the current and the voltage drop you are facing with (cable resistance @ run temperature is worth 25 ohm/km)
