Would you let your teenager study abroad ?

i’m just curious to know if you as a parent would let your 15 year old almost 16 year old, responsible and independent kid travel overseas with a program to study abroad for up to 6 months to up to 12 months, and perform at a performing arts school?

If she/he is responsible and independent then let her/him go and study. But, it is very important that which country he is going to study. Check the safety of international students, facilities and other benefits of studying in that country.

yes 1.boarding school 2.under guardianship of a relative

He'll be going with a programme - as long as he wants to, it's a good programme and you're happy, sure

Absolutely. It might be one of the best things to ever happen to the kid. I know at least two people who have an entire career because of spending a year abroad at another school at about that age.

Not at that young. I would allow it for their senior year though.
