    Yes, by definition liquid is matter, space is not.

    Yes there is proof The earth and other planets have been circling the sun for 4 billion+ years without slowing down. Any liquid has resistance to objects moving through it.

    Yes. If it was a liquid - no satellite would be able to stay in orbit due to the friction of a solid in a liquid. (Think of walking inside a pool - much more resistance than air)

    yes, flow through a liquid causes friction and heat. That does not occur in space or the planets would not stay in orbit, they would fall into the sun quickly.
