Was there ever video (not photograph) of earth taken by an astronaut while on the moon s surface?

The six Apollo landings all brought TV cameras with them. Their signals were sent to Earth from the LM's dish, and were recorded once they got to the Earth receiving stations. Video cameras of the modern type did not exist in 1969 - 1972.

None to my knowledge; I think they’d be more preoccupied with being on the surface of the moon and the images of the landscape, than looking at the Earth overhead... although, I have seen stills for it.

Still images are best for something that rotates at half the speed of an hour hand

Yes. But they forgot to bring it back. It was left on the Moon beside a pile of garbage.
