    Yeah thats way higher than normal, this could be SVT, tachycardia.. I would get this fixed quick.

    Any heart rate over 100 is by definition an arrhythmia. At a rate that high that is most likely SVT; though it could be a-fib with an RVR. And of course, that needs evaluation by a competent health care practitioner.

    That would usually be a strong indication that the person taking the pulse did something wrong. I sometimes have skipped beats and the blood pressure / pulse machine sometimes give erratic results. Anxiety or agitation can cause a rapid pulse. Calm down.

    A heart rate of 170 is, by definition, an arrhythmia. Whether it is dangerous, abnormal, or cause for concern is for your doctor to decide.

    yes heart rates should be between 60-100 for normally healthy people, Athletes and males have slightly lower HR

    Not necessarily. Arrhythmia is an irregular heart beat. A resting heart rate of 170 over say 72 is high blood pressure.

    Arrhythmia = no rhythm, not a high HR.

    Yes, that would be tachycardia and is a type of arrhythmia. You need to head for the ER.
