How do you solve this? Every day, Mitchell's orange juice stand uses 8 bags of oranges. For how many days will 2 2/5 bags of oranges last?

8 / 2.4 = 3 and a 1/3 days.

If 8 divided by 8 = 1 day then 2 and 2/5 or 2.4 divided by 8 = 3/10 of a day

It's simple. For 1 day he uses 8 bags. We need to find how long 12/5 bags of oranges last. 1 ------------8 x-------------12/5 Cross multiply , => x = (12/5) / 8 = 12 /40 = 3/10.
