I Typed "The dogs is fast." in MS Word 2016 but it didn't detect it as a wrong grammar. But it did detect "It is in you're bag." as wrong.?

I Typed "The dogs is fast." in MS Word 2016 but it didn't detect it as a wrong grammar. But it did detect "It is in you're bag." as wrong.?

    "It is in your bag" and "It's in your bag" are both correct - note spelling of "your". The abbreviation "you're" is short for "you are". Note "detect it as wrong grammar" (not "a wrong grammar").

    "The dogs ARE fast." "It is in YOUR bag."

    The problem with "you're bag" is that it should be "your" because "you're bag" is actually "you are bag" and that makes no sense.

    you're is supposed to be your. MS is not good with some things; it may have decided that "The dogs" is a set and not a several things.
