Why is it acceptable for women to swear/cuss in front of men but in-courteous and demeaning for a man to swear in front of a woman?

a woman can just walk up to a man and say the nastiest insults and nobody says a word.but if a man said that to a woman, people would complain about how disrespectful and shameless he is.
