how is that even humanly possible? I worked my butt off and only ended up with a C+!

Some students are smarter than others. Back in my school days, I vividly recall studying day and night for exams only to get a C or B but rarely an A.

On the assumption that all of the questions in the calculus exam were solvable it is clearly possible that some humans could get them all correct. I too am not a mathematical genius.

Don't be jealous; that's life. Some people are better at some things than others. He just happens to be good at calculus. You're probably better than him in some other subject.

Maybe he studied differently than you. Why not ask him about it?

Maybe his parents are scientists or teach math, or maybe he has perfect recall. Whatever it is, you shouldn't waste time thinking about it. Find somebody who teaches it better than your professor. Been there and done that.
