My gap is coming back even though i have a permanent retainer in, can someone tell me why it s happening?

My braces have been off for two years now and i haven t seen any problem until recently.I see a small line appearing were my gaps used to be and i getting scared. so If anybody knows whats happening please tell me

This could also be an issue with the placement of the tongue and swallowing. There are myofunctional therapists out there. They show you exercises to keep your tongue where it should be when you swallow. http://www.myfaceology.com/myofunctional...

What's happening is that now that the braces are off, your teeth are slowly moving again. That's what generally happens. If you're concerned, speak with your orthodontist.
