I'm a young American man, who loves French people. They are so sweet and innocent, and so adorable. I really wish all of them were my children. If I moved to France would they like me? Would they approve of me?

They would not appreciate your paternalistic attitude. French typically are not "sweet & innocent" and consider themselves exceptionally sophisticated.
