No the things that come to mind are self-righteousness and having to buy veggie burgers for the party because someone is so special they won't eat what everyone else is. Also vegans tend to get real nasty with each other on the YouTubes.

No - the first thing that occurs to me when I hear that word is taste-free food and stuff which I have never enjoyed. Vegans have often said to me, "Oh, it's not like that at all! Come round and I'll cook real vegan food for you and prove you wrong!"

Veganism is caring for the environment and the animals. The whole digestion process of eating meat is rather horrific, and I can't see how any one wouldn't consider going completely herbivore with contemplation of the brute facts.
