Does anyone take it as a compliment when people still ask you for your IDs when watching rated R movies or buying drinks?

I don't get why people get offended. I mean if you are in your 40s and someone asked you for your ID, wouldn't that make you feel young if they had to question your age?

I know bars that check EVERYONE no matter how old they are. NO ID and you aren't getting in, even if you are obviously 75 years old
