Why do most people say "I have to pee" while others say "I have to take a pee"??

Take a pee? Take a piss? Who talks like that?

    Just depends on the culture and area you are from. Where I am from, "gotta take a piss" is pretty normal to say. Means we are carrying out the act of urination, and everyone knows what a guy means when he says that.

    It's even sillier when they're talking about #2. As in, Take... a dump. a poo. a #2. a sh*t. etc. George Carlin always said he LEAVES one, he doesn't take one.
