Things people don't like and are "devout" about. Eating animals. Abortion. Pollution. Cruelty to animals. Racism. WOMD......and more. Protests, riots, petitions, illegal acts. Yet if I say I don't believe in gods I am "devout and passionate"? Pfft.

If by your question you mean to ask, "Are there people other than atheists that are passionate about standing up too things they view as societal ills?" then, yes. There absolutely are.
