Am i correct in saying cancer itself - an uncontrollable divide of cells- does not kill a person but the failure of organs caused by the can?

What an extraordinary way to look at it. No, the cancer causes the death. If I chopped your head off my actions would cause your death and it would not be your brain's fault from having communication with the rest of your body disrupted.
