Some of his theories were rather questionable, and may have been more accurately attributed to him specifically than to humanity as a whole. Of course, some people might well dislike his theories precisely because theyre uncomfortably accurate, and not everyone enjoys having their innermost self exposed to the world in general

most people i know dont' hate him just hates the idea of penis envy. and they might not even hate him they just think he is wrong. one can be wrong and still be loved. unless every time your wrong it just adds to self hate then you got mental issues for sure if so.

he had a very dry humor. most of the people take frued's ideas out-of-context, means that they see him as having static-answers, but i see him as indicating psychological processes; christianity has static ideas, freud had growth processes; people have limited ideas, freud has grandly inclusive processes; they were bound to conflict. worst of all in the 100-years since freud discovered the sub-conscious, there have been over 16-different schools of psychology develop; when compared with a car, each one goes to a different place, and does different things along the way. i see freud as being one view point of psychology; when we think that we are like a living sculpture, it is possible that with the 16-major schools of psychology, we may appreciate our life from 16-different viewpoints.

I don't hate Zigmund Freud but I do not subscribe to all of his psychological theoretical experiments and findings. I prefer the Swiss psycho analyst Dr Carl Jung who discovered different personality types. Transactional Analysis was developed by a student of Freud. This is a simplified version of Freud's tripartite of the mind.

It's because of unrealistic expectations on their part. They expect the man who's known as 'the father of modern psychology' to have everything figured out. That's unrealistic. He made it become more widely known and that was his part in it.
