Three trains pass through beginning each hour: 6 a.m., 6:20 a.m., 6:40 a.m. 7 a.m., 7:20 a.m., 7:40 p.m. and so on. Number of hours from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. = 17 3 trains * 17 hours = 51 trains

It's the old end points problem. you need to build a 100 feet fence with posts every 10 feet. How many posts? The answer is NOT 100/10 = 10, the answer is 11.
