He is "doing" morning walk?
4 answers
is it correct to say "He is doing morning walk" for a person who is already on his morning walk. All I've heard is "going for a morning walk", and never "doing morning walk". if "doing walk" is wrong, what's the correct form?

It is not correct to say "He is doing morning walk". The way I would express that idea is by saying "He is on a morning walk," where the "morning walk" is a noun.

'He is on a walk, he is going for a walk.' Those would be correct I assume. 'He is going for a walk' is accurate, but you could always go with 'He's strolling.' 'Doing' a walk is incorrect.

"Doing' with a noun after, has become a common way, in informal English, to refer to almost any kind of activity. It's not correct, but it's used. Most people would say he was 'doing a morning walk', unless 'morning walk' was, perhaps, a set routine part of an exercise program. Examples of how people use doing in the sense I mean are we were doing our coffee break I'm doing the gardening thing today
