You shouldn't be washing it. It is a self cleaning organ. A bath or shower is fine, you don't need more than that. You are probably irritating it by washing too often and too vigorously. BTW, there will always be a slight smell; maybe you are rather obsessed by the idea you smell bad when in fact no one else would ever notice.

You should never wash your vagina. The vagina is the hole - never put anything up there, unless you want an infection. Not water, not soap, nothing. Your vulva, on the other hand (the labia, mainly), you should wash with clean water only (no soap or feminine washes or anything, which can still cause infections and dry out your vulva) and your hand and/or a cloth once a day. Maybe twice if you re really sweaty/have been working out/on your period. Overwashing is not good for your vulva. Your vagina should always have a smell - it s self cleaning and you shouldn t wash it. It s entirely normal. It would be more worrying if it smelt like nothing and/or roses or something. Unless it smells very strange and strong and maybe fishy, which would indicate an infection (such as BV or a Yeast infection, often caused by offsetting the pH balance by washing it too much, using soap, douching, etc.), your vagina smelling soon after you wash your vulva is entirely normal.

Probably once, when showering/bathing. Just clean water on the outside, that’s all it takes.
