Does it matter whether chicken or beef is halal or not?

Not in the slightest...it´s just another example of Mohammed copying the Jews in regards to religious dietary law. And at the end of the day, we probably shouldn´t be eating animals at all if we´re gonna get moralistic about it.

No it is not a matter ehether chicken or beef because both are halal.But you must say bismillah if you want to eat it.

Yes, if you eat non-halal/non-kosher meat, then the difference is you would be committing a grave sin and, as Allah says in the Quran, grave disobedience, it is one of the biggest sins in Islam, as the animal was not slaughtered properly in the way Allah ordained. Whereas halal meat is much healthier and eating it results in reward and good deeds. So yes, it is a matter of heaven and hell, only a disbeliever would take such matters lightly as you are doing. Lol@ "it's the same animal." That is completely irrelevant.

All believers of One True God have to obey His code of conduct and that is why obeying it a must for every believer. Kosher or halal meat IS REQUIRED!

The animals must be slaughtered by Islamic precept then can be called Halal . Those animals not being killed by this Islamic way then being called carcass which Muslims being forbidden to eat carcass.Then it does really matter.
