"Why is slut-shaming even a term?" Those women that deride slvt shaming in society must be the one's that want to be free to have male style sexual freedoms without the cost that women face for taking on those freedoms. It would be the same if we had men who derided bum-shaming and attempted to scold society for shaming men that wanted to sit around and not work while living off of women and taking on all the female style "stay at home" freedoms without the cost that men face today. It is what it is. This is evolutionary behavior that cannot be changed by a few decades of social engineering. And you'll notice that in both instances, the majority of shamers come from the same gender, not the opposite. More women will slvt shame other women. More men will bum shame other men. .

It's because it's ok for men to be sluts, but not women. We don't shame men for the same behavior. That is what is at issue.

Its an empirical fact that 95% of all slut shaming comes from women and is directed towards other women.

Men hate a sexually active woman but have little problem with male instigated violence/exclusion or the resulting marginalization of large groups of people. So fck your backwards "sensibilities". Men and "morals" never did mix well

Because a couple hyper sensetive people killed themselves and some liberals wanted to market it hard.

insecure women are upset OTHER WOMEN, >>NOT MEN<< kept calling them sluts. sluts couldn't handle the "societal pressure" put on them by >>OTHER WOMEN<< and so they had a mental breakdown. instead of dealing with this issue like an adult would, they had a childish temper tantrum "you can't say that word around me anymore. it hurts my feelings!" no man gives a damn if a woman is a slut. in fact when we hear a woman is a slut we usually try to hit her up because it signifies the chances of spreading those legs are higher.

The posts on your question are actually really bothersome and disturbing to me. Nobody has a right to bully another person, period. Our society celebrates men who sleep around yet punishes, ostracizes, and trys to go out of their way to humiliate and degrade women who have multiple sexual partners. When I was younger about 10 years ago, over the course of 4 years I dated 3 guys that were in the same group of friends. I was suffering from depression and didn't have many friends. Well all of those guys would call my phone out of the blue and harass me. They would call me a whore and tell me to die, and then all their female friends would call me a slut on social media to embarass me. I was never a mean person, I was always a kind person, yet this "slut-shaming" disgrace of a trend is disgusting and will end up in teenage girls killing themselves. So everybody should stop, it's disgusting and this bullying behavior has no place in our society. It's nobody else's business who somebody chooses to sleep with and nobody should be apologizing to anybody for those choices.

Most women are bisexual or lesbians nowadays

If every female floozy would just “stop being a slut” then there would be no more slut shaming. It’s a million times easier for a trifling woman to “stop dressing like a ho” that it is for an LGBT person to just ‘decide’ to be straight and cisgender.
