Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. If you think you have it, see your doctor. Usually they diagnose it by doing an ultrasound on your ovaries. They look for cysts. They measure them and take pictures. The cysts can grow and cause problems. Most likely they will put you on birth control. In some cases, a cyst can rupture and cause severe lower belly pain and bleeding.
