What do I do if I feel like my life is going in the wrong direction? Like it’s out of my control?

I am 18 and about to begin college at a school I was forced into. I’ve know what I wanted my whole life but everyone is telling me my dream is unrealistic. I don’t want to be painfully average. I need help. I just feel like I’m stuck in what my parents want and I cannot get out. Please give me some advice. I just...
