=(x+4) ^2 −2(x+4) simplified = x^2+8x+16-2x-8 Algebra 2 Help?

Okay I understand that the simplified equation is not fully simplified but that is not the point I need help understanding where they got the 8x in it because I understand if you use the distributive property than it becomes x^2 + 16 -2x - 8 but I do not understand where they get the 8x when simplifying please help
