Is it noticeable if a man goes from 180 to 146 pounds?

I did in 6 months and literally nobody said anything. I'm only 5'4 so 180 made me look like a sausage and I thought I had done ok losing all the weight but nobody said a thing. And yet you see people commenting on someone losing five or ten pounds.
