My landlord took the washing machine that I sold to the next tenant.?

I moved out and I sold the washing machine and dryer that I bought to the next tenant. Before the next tenant confirmed that she would buy them, I already told the landlord that I have plan to sell them to the next tenant, otherwise I would sell them to others when we discuss about the moving with real estate...

First, pay the money back to the person you sold the machines to. Second, file a case in small claims court against the landlord concerning the missing machines. I am skeptical of the landlord's story, assuming you are accurately relating it. The case may likely come down to your word against his.

Pay the money back and sue the landlord. His story sounds, as we say in the USA, like hogwash. I would also put a police report in for stolen property, and show the police the garage.

Probably should pay the people back until u can get this figured out.

You do owe the next tenant the money back since they didn't get what they paid you for. Sounds like a case of miscommunication. Since the landlord paid to have the machines carted away it's unlikely he'll cough up any funds to pay you so I'd just use this as a lesson leaned.

You owe them the money back...and you probably need to take the landlord to court to remedy...
