What would happen if there was too much methane and ammonia in our atmosphere? How would it affect life?

They are a pollutant and green house gases and could cause the earth to heat up. Methane is found in abundance under the ocean floor and in the north in the frozen tundra.

Methane acts as a greenhouse gas so it would increase the planet's temperature. By how much would depend on the quantity of methane. Ammonia is poisonous so it would not provide a suitable atmosphere for life.
