Colleges and State of Residence Question?
2 answers
I have been living in Texas since birth and graduated high school there. If I go to another state for undergrad, and still be dependent on my parents, am I still a Texas resident? Thanks!

Yes, you remain legally a Texas resident, and your parents' home remains your permanent address. School address is only a temporary address. Not eligible for in-state tuition anywhere else but TX. No way to change that either.

It doesn't really have much to do with your parents. You can establish residency in most states by living there for a year WITHOUT being in school. Until that happens, you're still a Texas resident.
